Thomas Watson
Early on, Tom was given a "nick-name" which reflected the way he liked to keep his hand warm in all weathers.
Since then "POOCHES" has progressed well and been renamed to reflect him denying everything.
"I Didn't"
ORVILLE
At Carnoustie this year (2006) Tom did really well by getting in on the act of "getting a mention"
Well done for getting a second in the Under 13 Novice Piping.
In our picture, Tom is seen competing at the Lathallan Mini Games
in September 30, 2006, just two weeks after Carnoustie.
This time he faced an older age group but still
managed to gain a fourth place.
How NOT to capture an audiences attention?
2007 saw Tom take his game outdoors for the first time
when he competed at Kenmore Games to gain a second
place in the Under 14 years.
The following picture shows Tom competing at Lochearnhead Games
where they held a junior section for the first time.
No success for Tom this time, but the age group was Under 16 and
included Scotland's best young Pipers. e.g.. Faye Henderson, Billy Stewart,
Andrew McPhee, Andrew Travers and Craig Sutherland
