Jason Bedford
Jason has now made it to the status of having a nickname. On a recent visit to friends, he demonstrated his eagerness of all thing mechanical by being allowed to use the ride-on lawnmower. Quick as a flash he was in the driving seat, only to discover that it wouldn't start. The safety switch would not disengage by reason of him being too light to weigh down the seat. Undaunted, a sack of compost was found and placed on the driving seat with Jason perched on top...............Heaven!............off he went bombing round the place cutting grass right left and centre. Hence the nickname Grasshopper
Here is a more up to date photo
Note that the compost is no longer required!
Jason was a vintage player with all of eighteen months experience in the Carnoustie class.
He absolutely jumped at the chance to march down the Royal Mile for the opening of the New
Scottish Parliament in October and was certainly worth his the opportunity when you see him in front
of Arthur's Seat playing his part in the ceremony.
That's him in the centre of the photo beside me.
2006
Here we have Jason competing at Lathallan School Mini Highland Games
where he gained third place in a good field.
This was hard on the heels of competing at Carnoustie in the 13-16 Novice
Piping and gaining a highly creditable second place in a strong line up.
