Scottish Parliament
On the 9th of October, this year we saw the opening of The Scottish Parliament Building, and this also involved the input of The Practical Pipers Society.
At 11am "The Riding" part of the ceremony took place and involved a full procession down the Royal Mile to Holyrood.
The Parade consisted of bands and celebrities walking down to the opening and only two pipe band took part. Roddy MacLeod was with his band The Power of Scotland at the rear of the procession, and I'm sure that Roddy was truly chuffed that the crowds were warned up by the boys and girls of Lathallan School Pipe Band.
The first picture shows the band entering the Cannongate
just about the halfway marker.
Now we appear on stage during an afternoon performance.
