Fife and Forfar Yeomanry (TA)
Unfortunately, I have little information on this band, but I do know that the late Thorfin Drever
became their Pipe Major in November 1963.

"Thor" was a founder member of the NCR Pipe Band and later in life he came into the Dundee (Tayside)
Police Pipe Band as a Special Constable.  Always a great character, he was an essential part of the bands
where was a member.

I myself became his Police Pipe Major and was most appreciative of his support and quiet advice.

On a visit to Dunkeld years ago, I visitied the museum in the square. There on a show case on the door
was a photo of the Pipes and Drum of The Scottish Horse while marching through the town.  Who was the
Pipe Sergeant?        Yep it was Thor!   They must have had a special Shetland Pony just for him.

Thor later retired to his home ground in Aberfeldy where he became resident caretaker in the town hall.
He died in Aberfeldy in 2006, after a short illness.
